o a movie (that amazes you - a beautiful movie): well there's HP, and LotR of course, but I think you ought go rent "A Walk To Remember" starring Shane West and Mandy Moore. :)
o a book (that inspires you, and one you couldn't put down): Darkness at Sethanon, by Raymond E Feist. But it's third in a cycle so you'll have to read magician and Silverthorn first. :)
