Well, New Year's came and went without much incident. It sucks that I can't celebrate at all because of my meds, but oh well. At least I made it through another year. This time last year, that was still questionable.

We took down the Christmas tree yesterday, too. (Finally!) The kiddies "helped". Yeah, right! heh. Mostly, they just stoood there and watched, but they thought they were helping anyway. Jessie did swep off the front porch after we got done with all that, so at least she did actually do something helpful. Of course, she is the oldest, so she can do a little more than the others. (Except maybe Amy, who really does the most of any of them, just because she has ADD, and has more extra energy to expend.)

Stupid mutt woke me up at 6am this morning. Wouldn't you know that the few times I get to sleep late, like when the kids are out of school and visiting the grandparents, the mutt would decide I have to get up with her! Just my luck!

Believe it or not, we had to turn on the AC yesterday. It was 6o-something degrees here. And today it is supposed to be almost 70! This is supposed to be winter. What's the deal?

And while I'm stuck here, Keri is bragging about leaving to go to the beach next week. A free trip, at that! How does she get so lucky? Probably because she is like, 22, and thin, and drop-dead gorgeous to boot. Must be good to be her. Yet she always complains about not being able to find a man. She must have her standards set way too high or something, or she's just crazy, or not paying attention, or I don't know what! Don't get me wrong, I love her to death, but it's frustrating sometimes. She is so beautiful, and doesn't even know it. Oh, well, enough for now.
