I feel so guilty. I was griping so much yesterday about my little dog (well, actually, she's Amy's, but she thinks she's mine) waking me up so early. Then yesterday evening she got in a fight with the neighbor's dog (She is part daschund, part chihuahua, and thinks she is ten feet tall and bullet-proof.She continually jumps on dogs 5 times her size because they are in "her yard"!), and she got hurt. Not bad. Just a scratch over her left eye, a small wound onthe right side of her neck, and a little bit bigger one on the back of her neck, and I think her right shoulder must be bruised up pretty bad because she whimpers everytime she jumps off the couch or bed. But, still. She is moving around like a little old woman. I feel so bad for her. And it makes it even worse that when we go to put antibiotic cream on the wounds, she just lays there, without a peep, and doesn't even move. She is my "baby pup" (even though she is, like, 5 years old!), and she knows it. Yes, my life is dreadfully boring!
Mandy decided yesterday, at work of all places, and at the age of 25, that the word "pea" is completely hilarious when said by itself or completely out of context. She has unlimited email access at work now, so we were emailing back and forth. I had sent her my Fiction Alley Winter Challenge story to read and proof for me because I knew she'd give me an honest opinion, even if I didn't like her answer (she really liked it, BTW). We've always been able to be like that with each other. Many people have said that, if there is such a thing as past lives, we were probably twins, or at the very least sisters, in a past life. And it really seems that way. That was what started the whole "pea" thing. She said we were like two peas in a pod, and it just escalated from there. She even took it so far as to call me from her cell on her way home from work to see how things were on my "end of the pod". She is such a dork sometimes! And I wouldn't change her for anything in this world! We are so tuned into each other (the "past-life" thing, I guess LOL), that she always seems to know when I am feeling down (like yesterday), and she will find some way to cheer me up. I was having a day like that a few weeks ago, and I got a "new mail" message, and it was an e-card from her saying what a great friend I was. Now that will brighten your day!
Well, I'm starting to ramble, so I'd better stop, or I'll be here all day!
