A young couple were in their honeymoon suite
on their wedding night. As they undressed for bed,
the husband, who was a big burly bruiser, tossed his
pants to his bride and said, "Here, put these on."

She put them on and the waist was twice the size
of her body. "I can't wear your pants," she said.

"That's right and don't forget it," said the husband.
"I'm the man in this family."

"Try these on." He tried them on and found he could
only get them on as far as his kneecaps.

He said, "Hell, I can't get into your pants."

She said, "That's right, and that's the way it's
going to be until your damn attitude changes

It's oddly true, though.
Hrm.

Never fear. I've lived here all my life, and I most assuredly do NOT talk like that! I think I have known perhaps 5 people who do, and most of them were from NC or SC! But quite a funny read, all the same.

Hey, I lived in NC!
Freaky!

Quite cool, actually! XD

I lived in the foothills of SC for a while, only about an hour from NC. To prove my point, my ex's daughter lived (let me see if I can convey her accent decently) in "Punkintowin" (Pumpkintown, SC) and had "uh gray cayut" (a gray cat).

BTW, LOFF your fic! Left reviews, but anyways, great so far, although I am fearful of where it is going for Harry from the medications you listed. (And, for the record, I'm not one of the ones that suspects depression or addiction to pain killers, but something more sinister that also affects millions worldwide, and has yet - as far as I have seen - to be addressed in fanfic.)
