How you feeling? At this exact moment? So-so. I've been on painkillers for the past week for a pulled muscle on top of my routine health troubles (Since I’ve been told I mention it too often, and use it as an excuse, for those that don't know and are curious, the story of my health troubles can be found here.)

What are you doing usually? Surfing Fiction Alley, Watching Television, Reading, Playing GameBoy (you'll laugh, but things like Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, and Digimon, and, of course HP!), or caring for my daughter (helping her with her homework, helping her get her bath, helping her read OotP, etc.)

Favorite Book? other than HP, you mean? Hm, that's a tough one. I love to read, and will read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I guess probably my favorite though would have to be The Queen of the Damned.

Favorite Author? After thinking long and hard about the previous question, this one is a little easier. It would have to be (besides JKR, of course) Anne Rice.

Favorite HP book? GoF, because that's when we first see Sirius

Favorite HP student in Gryffindor? Umm...Oddly, Hermione. I can relate to her. I was always (and still am) a bit of a bookworm, though I hope I was never as much of a show-ff, know-it-all as she is!:D

in Ravenclaw? Sorry, the only Ravenclaw I can think of at the moment is Cho, and I can’t stand her! Wait, isn’t Luna a Ravenclaw? OK, then Luna it is!

Slytherin? Ditto, here, except substitute Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Pansy, and Blaise for Cho. Out of the 5, I’d have to pick Blaise, only because we know the least about him/her.

Hufflepuff? Hufflepuff favorite? Isn’t that a contradiction in terms or something? LOL I honestly can’t think of any right now except Cedric, and, well, he’s dead, and I never really liked him anyway.

Favorite HP adult? Anyone who knows me at all knows this one! SIRIUS BLACK!!!! PADFOOT LIVES!

Favorite HP professor? McGonagall: calm, cool collected exterior, but fiery Scottish temper underneath.

If you had a choice of meeting one HP character in real life who would it be? Again, I say: DUH! Sirius, of course!

If you had a choice of killing off one HP character who would it be? Besides the obvious Moldy Voldy? Um…Snape, definitely Snape. He tried to turn Sirius back over to the Dementors to be Kissed, and I can never forgive him for that!

Anything else to say about the HP characters? Yeah…I think Hagrid is very misunderstood, and should play a bigger role in the books. I think he is capable of much more than we know. (I’m also a big…no pun intended…Hagrid fan!)

How long have you been into the fandom? Lurking, since about May 2003. Member, since October 2003.

Biggest fandom pet peeve? People who argue about wanting to change things they can’t. (For example, people who want to change the actor portraying Sirius in the upcoming PoA movie, even though it’s already been filmed, just because Gary Oldman doesn’t fit their exact image of him, and refuse to see the movie just because he’s in it. At least give him a chance to prove himself! He wasn’t my first choice, either, but he’s a great actor, and I think he’ll do a wonderful job!)

Favorite Ship(s): I’m somewhat of an oddball. I don’t really have a favorite ship. I’d rather read something well written, than something based just on what the ship is. I used to think canon was leading to R/Hr and H/G based on their interactions, but after reading OotP, I’m more inclined to believe in R/L and H/Hr. It just seems more logical, based on the way they interact with each other.

Anything else to say about the fandom? I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again now. I think Hagrid is probably the most under represented character in fandom. There are so few fics that reflect him in a good light, and I have only found one…ONE, mind you!…that has him in a romantic situation! Which is precisely why I am currently working on my own fic. The first chapter was in the Winter Challenge thread at FA. I am currently waiting to hear back from them on it’s submission to AT, and am working on Chapter 2 in the meantime.

What do you think of the HP movies? I like the movies. I mean, they aren’t exactly like the books (what movies ever are?), but they are close enough that none of the feeling of the books is lost in translation, and in fact, in many instances, the special effects in the movies are able to add to the scenes.

Which HP character was best portrayed by their actor/actress in the HP movies? As much as I hate Snape, I’d have to say Alan Rickman’s portrayal of him is probably the best of all the portrayals. Even his voice perfectly suits the image of Snape’s condescending manner described in the books.

Favorite scene to watch? So far? The scene in CoS where Harry and Ron are flying in the car and are looking for the Hogwarts Express and descend in front of it. My favorite line is at the end of that scene: “I think we found the train.” I was ROLLING! I must say, I’m looking forward to boggart!Snape, though, so I may change my mind!

Which HP character do you most associate yourself with? Hm…I usually say Hermione, because I am a big reader like she is, but the more I think on it, the more I think I may be more like Lupin. Whereas Hermione seems to read mostly schoolbooks and that sort of thing, Lupin seems more inclined to read a wider variety of materials, like I do. So I’m going to go with Lupin.

Biggest forum pet peeve? Isn’t that obvious? Well, maybe not. I actually have 2. One is Mods that are too strict with the off topic regulations, and thwap you for every little thing (thus the creation of this community! :D ) And, the other is actually more of a website management pet peeve, where friends of the web manager/mistress get away with murder while others are blasted for lesser offenses. :( GRRRR.

Favorite site that you check obsessively? Well, FA, of course! Or do you mean within FA? Scribbles from History of Magic Class, to be specific. Usually the Election threads. I have also recently discovered a “Who said this?” thread that I check regularly.

Favorite Movie: What Dreams May Come” starring Robin Williams. It’s sad, but wonderful. It’s about a man who dies, and goes to his own “idea” of Heaven, then his wife kills herself in her grief, and about his journey to find her and rescue her and bring her back to Heaven.

Music you enjoy: I enjoy all sorts of music on the basis of the song itself, more than any one type of music. Some of my favorites are (I’m telling my age here! ;) ) Elvis, Meatloaf, David Bowie, Metallica, Poison, POD, Black-Eyed Peas, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Pink, Justin Timberlake, and many others.

Interests other than Harry Potter: My daughter and stepchildren and their interests; reading; home remodeling shows (think “Trading Spaces”/”Changing Rooms”)
