GAH! I have been so horrible lately! I feel like I am neglecting everything. I haven't updated here in, like, FOREVER. I've been neglecting ATHAM, too. I hate to admit it, but it's true. Thank God for AVY. I knew I was right to make her co-mod/co-founder or whatever you want to call it. She realy stepped in this last week, and picked up my slack. In much better news, I've been helping Isla set up a new HP message board Hogwarts for all!, and it is going fairly well. We've managed to gain 20 members in only 10 days, which I think it fairly good. We're also listed on MuggleNet's Topsites at #24, currently right under FictionAlley, so that's pretty good, too. I've been working on my fic, Renewed Beginnings, and now have six chapters of it up. I also have written two one-shots that are up on The Dark Arts, as well as benn working on a couple of pieces of artwork. (A Stolen Touch and Serena Snape and Friends) They're both WIP, but, even as critical as I am of my own work, I am quite happy with how they are progressing, and I have already had some positive feedback on them. Perhaps most importantly, Isla liked the 'Serena' one. Since I did that one for her, based on her fic, Snape's Daughter, it means a lot to me that she liked it.

I've also got to find a full-length formal gown for Amy. We got confirmation a couple of weeks ago that her application has been accepted as a State finalist in the Jr. Pre-Teen division of the National American Miss Pageant to be held in Atlanta in July. I wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not, because of all the 'horror stories' you see about the 'stage mothers' pushing their kids into doing them, and ending up painting them up like hookers. But this pageant is different. There's no make-up allowed in any of the categories, except the teen division, and then only 'professional appearance as you would wear to church or a job interview', there's no swimsuit competition, and the talent competition is optional. So, I let Amy look at the brochure for the pageant, and decide for herself. She wanted to do it, so that was that. I'm thinking about entering one of her photos in the optoinal 'photogenic' competition, but I haven't decided for sure on that yet, because it's an additional fee. Oh, well, we'll see.
